Holocaust History

Holocaust History refers to the study and documentation of the events and circumstances surrounding the Holocaust, a period during World War II when approximately six million Jews, along with millions of others including Romani people, disabled individuals, Poles, Soviet prisoners of war, and various political and religious dissidents, were systematically persecuted and murdered by the Nazi regime in Germany and its collaborators from 1941 to 1945. This history encompasses the origin and rise of anti-Semitic ideologies, the establishment and operation of concentration and extermination camps, the experiences of victims and survivors, the responses of global communities, and the aftermath and implications of these events on modern society. Holocaust history involves historical analysis, survivor testimonies, and the examination of the moral, ethical, and social lessons learned, aiming to ensure that such atrocities are remembered and prevented from occurring again.
